Dr. Dharmasastha Kumar is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of the Built Environment at the National University of Singapore. His research expertise spans sustainable cooling for the built environment, focusing on indoor and outdoor thermal comfort, radiant cooling, CFD modeling, urban heat mitigation, passive cooling, human thermoregulation, and PCM-based thermal energy storage. Before joining NUS, he developed his expertise over seven years through research roles at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, The University of Sydney, and Indian Institute of Technology Madras, further strengthened by three years of industrial experience at Renault Nissan Technology & Business Centre India. Driven by a passion for addressing real-world heat-related challenges, his research is dedicated to developing sustainable cooling solutions and strategies that enhance thermal comfort, energy performance, and thermal resilience in the built environment.
