Mingya Zhu

Postdoctoral Fellow

Berkeley Education Alliance for Research in Singapore (BEARS)

Mingya Zhu is a postdoctoral fellow in the SinBerBEST program. Her research interest is in model calibration/validation and uncertainty analysis in the area of building energy simulation. She is also interested in data-driven modeling for building energy prediction and supported two national projects as a key researcher: Methods of minimum variables set construction for building energy prediction based on high-dimensional space theory (China NSFC), and Development of a co-simulation model of occupant behavior, IAQ and building energy – subtask 2 of the kernel development of whole building performance simulation platform (the 13th 5-year national Key R&D Plan).

Interests

  • Model calibration/validation
  • Building Energy Performance Simulation
  • Occupant behavior models
  • District energy demand prediction

Education

  • PhD in HVAC Engineering, 2019, Tongji University, China, 2019
